This page explains what AnswerSpot collects when you use it, why, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted. AnswerSpot (“we”) is responsible for it. We collect as little as we can and we never sell personal data.

What we collect

  • Your email address, if you sign up for our weekly note, and which page you signed up on.
  • What you type into the free tools: website addresses, brand and competitor names, and categories. We store each result so the same check run again within 7 days can reuse it. After 7 days a stored result is no longer used, and it is deleted soon after.
  • A scrambled form of your IP address, with a count of how many times you used each free tool that day, so we can enforce daily limits. We store a one-way hash, never the address itself, and delete these counts after a day or two.
  • Basic server logs (IP address, page, time) that our servers keep for security and to fix errors.
  • Account and billing details, if you create an account or pay. Card details go to our payment provider; we never see or store your card number.

Cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The bot check on our free tools may set a cookie it needs to work.

Who else sees it

We use a few service providers, each only for the job we give them:

  • our hosting provider, which runs our servers;
  • Cloudflare, for our domain, network protection and the bot check on the free tools;
  • an AI model provider, which receives the brand, category and competitor names you enter in the tools that make estimates, and nothing else about you;
  • an email delivery provider, to send the weekly note and account emails;
  • a payment provider, to take payments and send invoices.

Some of these providers work outside your country, including in the United States. We share data with them only as needed to run AnswerSpot, or when the law requires it.

Your choices

Every weekly note has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to admin@answerspot.ai. We reply within 30 days.

Children

AnswerSpot is a tool for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and its date. If the change matters and you have an account or get our weekly note, we will email you first.
